A final exit visa is how an iqama holder leaves Saudi Arabia for good. The residence closes once you depart. For a worker it is normally issued by the employer on Absher Business, Muqeem or Qiwa. A family head issues it for dependents on Absher. Do not book a one-way ticket until the visa shows on Absher.
Clear these before you ask for it
- Traffic fines: check them on Absher and pay them first.
- Dependent and companion fees: the Passports notice carried by the Saudi Press Agency says this fee is also collected when a final exit visa is issued. See Saudi dependent fee.
- Your dues from the employer: final wage, unused leave and the end-of-service award. Work out the award with end of service in Saudi Arabia.
- Bank loans and phone contracts in your name. Settle or close them before leaving.
- GOSI: your record with the social insurance organisation stays on gosi.gov.sa.
Is there a fee?
We have not found an official notice that sets a separate final exit visa fee. The SPA notice confirms that dependent fees are collected at this step. Check the amount Absher shows for your file before you pay. Last checked: Oct 2026.
If the employer will not issue it
Raise a labour complaint with HRSD, and keep your contract, the wage records on Mudad and your messages. Disputes over wages and the end-of-service award go to the labour courts, which you can reach through Najiz. If your file has been marked absent from work, read huroob. HRSD gives such a worker a 60-day window to leave or transfer. The Pakistan Embassy and the Jeddah consulate have community welfare sections. See embassy and consulate services.
Going on holiday and coming back is not final exit. Use an exit re-entry visa for that.
